"i said, plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of MY love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that HE may come and shower righteousness upon you."(hosea10:12)

" I love all ya'll." - MIke Winchell Friday Night Lights

Tuesday, March 08, 2005

My left eye hurts and I have an ear infection in my right ear. I think I'm dying.Oh well. I'm not scared of death. Only part of death I'm scared of is when non-believers die. Especially for those I know and care about. If they die, I 'll never see them again. Let me share a vision I received a few years ago.

I was in a prayer meeting at the church I went to in MD and the leader led us to pray for those who are not saved. you know, I was doing my thing and all of a sudden I see this lake. The lake was beautiful, but, and here's the scary part... I see all these people in the lake and they can't get out. They were trapped in the water...drowning. The look on their faces... it is something I will never forget. Then I see a hand over the lake and that's it.

That is how I see people who do not have CHRIST in their lives. Your family members, schoolmates, co-workers, friends, even people who go to church with you are drowning. Not just for non-believers, but also the believers. Sometimes we don't fix our eyes on JESUS and we spiral down this tunnel of depression, bitterness, and all that crap. I'm not saying you are not saved no more, because no one or nothing can ever take away your salvation. What I'm saying is that for both the non-believer and believer, we need to set our eyes on HIM. For the non-believer, they do not know who JESUS is, so how can they align their eyes and hearts to HIM. For the believer, we get cock-eyed sometimes and our vision gets blurry. Either way, both do not have their eyes focused on JESUS.

Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that GOD has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on JESUS, on whom our faith depends from start to finish..."

"since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith" We are a body... a synergy. Let's work together to save the lost. Let us love with compassion-JESUS. Let's intercede with passion-Isaiah. Let's worship HIM undignified- David

aren't you guys tired of compromising?

met with my boy steve  the other night. thanks for the fellowship. HOLY SPIRIT was definetely ministering to me through our conversation.

here's a little something to encourage ya'll with when you feel alone.

john16:32 "But the time is coming - in fact, it is already here - when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving ME alone. Yet I am not alone because the FATHER is with me."

i know there are times where we feel alone, abandoned, and even fed up with the lack of encouragement and fellowship we seek with our brothers and sisters. but JESUS knew the truth... that the FATHER is always with us. JESUS even promised that HE will never be away from us.

John 14:15-21 " If you love ME, obey MY commandments. And I will ask the FATHER, and HE will give you another COUNSELOR, who will never leave you. HE is the HOLY SPIRIT, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive HIM, because it isn't looking for HIM. But you do, because HE lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans -  I will come to you. In just a little while, the world will not see me again, but you will. For I will live again, and you will, too. When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my FATHER, and you are in me, and I am in you. Those who obey MY commandments are the ones who love ME. And because they love ME, MY FATHER will love them, and I will love them. And I will reveal MYSELF to each one of them"

John 14:23-28 "... ALl those who love ME will do what I say. MY FATHER will love them, and WE will come to them and live with them. Anyone who doesn't love ME will not do what I say. And remember, MY words are not MY own. This message is from the FATHER, who sent ME. I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the FATHER sends the COUNSELOR as MY representative - and - by the COUNSELORI mean the HOLY SPIRIT -  HE will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I MYSELF have told you. I am leaving you with a gift - peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give you isn't like the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid. Remeber what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really love ME, you will be very happy for ME, because now I can go to the FATHER, who is greater than I am."

why won't the pictures stay? that ain't cool. it's all your fault victor... by the way, did you finish your homework?

like joan said, we started a prayer meeting on sunday. it brought real joy to see joan, christie, and yohan...young people who want and serve CHRIST with such zeal and passion. i about cried seeing and hearing christie and joan share their hearts. but ya'll know, i don't cry.

it's awesome to see older people share that same passion. moses, mike, my sister, joyce.

i just wanted to share this quote i read today that pertains to prayer. it goes a little somethin like this

"There is very little power in the key that fits my car. The car engine has power, but it does not come to life without my key being put into the ignition. In otherwords, I don't have the power to go outside and get myself going 60 mph,but I have access to a resource that can get me moving at that speed. JESUS said, ' I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.' (matt 16:19) Keys mean the authority, the privilage, the access. Some things will not be turned on unless you turn them on. Some things will not be turned loose unless you turn them loose. Some things will not be set free unless you set them free. The key doesn't make the power of the engine, it releases the power of the engine."- Jack Hayford

i think that's such a fitting analogy. when you buy a car, the car is not rightfully yours until the salesman puts the key in your hands. those keys gives us a right to that car. likewise, JESUS gives us the keys to HIS kingdom(matt 16:19) this means we have the right to go to HIM in prayer.(john 1:12)

with keys and the car, there also comes responsibility for it. you got car notes, insurance, maintenance, etc.we are also responsible to partner with GOD in prayer. what i mean is... we have to take responsibility for our part in prayer with and to GOD. if you don't use the keys to your car, you ain't going nowhere... same thing with the key of prayer. we don't use it, we ain't going nowhere. GOD's power is always available to us, but if we don't use the key of prayer, we can't use HIS power for our lives.

what i'm trying to say my brothers and sisters is that GOD is calling for a generation to pray, to cry out, to intercede, fast and most importantly... to love HIS people. it's not about you or me or how we want things to go. it is and always will be about GOD's vision and plan.

we all need JESUS. we all need love. there are those who do not have HIS love. some have lost it, some never had it. it is time for us to love like CHRIST. we think we have to be involved in some kind role where we can be seen by people. screw that. being seen by GOD is all that matters. what i'm trying to say is that we need prayer warriors. you know how prayer warriors love others? by crying out for people, giving their time and energy to intercede for them.

prayer warriors are like offensive linemen. they don't get the fame like the QB, RB, and WR's but without the linemen, the other teammates and the whole offense in general will get nowhere. joan christie yohan and steve you are the linemen  and you do it well. i love you guys.
